"PURIO" — branding of a washing machine cleaner for the US market
From Uzbekistan to Overseas: A visual strategy designed to gain the trust of the American consumer.
1. Problem and Task
Design knows no limits. This time, our task was more responsible than ever - to create a new "Purio" brand for the US market. While we previously collaborated with our American compatriots, our client for this project was an entrepreneur from the USA, Mr. Cheskel.
The task was to develop a logo and packaging design for deep cleaning tablets for washing machines, which would meet the taste of the American consumer, be professional, and demonstrate the high efficiency of the product.
2. Research
To enter the global market, we first analyzed the psychology of the local consumer.
Market insights. For the American buyer, the accuracy of the information on the packaging and visual reliability come first. Here, the design should serve not just as a beautiful picture, but as the "language" of the product and a guarantee of quality.
Visual insight. In the cleanliness and hygiene segment, the combination of bright blue and white colors was found to be the most effective. These colors evoke a sense of freshness and purity in the buyer at a subconscious level.
3. Solution
We have created an image of Fresh & Clean that meets the standards of the US market.
Logo and Identity. A powerful and dynamic logo, "Purio," was developed for the brand. The water waves and green elements in the logo signify both the efficiency and safety of the product.
3D Visualization and Illustration. Special 3D models were created to show the buyer how the tablet works.
- In the center of the packaging, the internal structure of the cleaning cube and its effect on water are realistically depicted.
- The 3D image of the washing machine ensures that it is clear at a glance which specific area the product is aimed at (Washing Machine Cleaner).
- Technical data such as "Deep Clean Formula" and "1 Year Supply" symbols represented the accuracy that is important for the American buyer.
Result
It turns out that you don't need to know perfect English to enter the overseas market — a design that speaks correctly was enough.
The 3D packaging we created was able to unconditionally explain the strength of the product on US shelves and received high praise from our customer.
As the legendary designer Massimo Vignelli noted: "Design is not just a visual style, it is a whole language." In the "Purio" project, we were able to communicate with buyers across the ocean through this universal language and proved that the branding school of Uzbekistan can easily "fight" on the global stage.
