Marsio: Cosmic Sandwich Cookie Packaging Design
We created the Marsio brand (sandwich cookies): naming derived from the word "Mars." The design features deep blue tones with astronauts and stars. The concept merges dreams of space and modern technology, forming an emotional connection with the buyer.
1. Task
In childhood, many dreamed of becoming astronauts—a powerful symbol of exploring new frontiers. Today’s generation is inspired by Elon Musk, an entrepreneur aiming to send humans to Mars. Our task was to create a sandwich cookie brand appealing and relatable to both audiences.
2. Research
Market research revealed consumers prefer clear, concise concepts. Themes of space exploration and advanced technology continue to evoke positive emotions, bridging past nostalgia and future aspirations. The existing sandwich cookie market is crowded with traditional imagery, often failing to establish a strong emotional connection with consumers.
3. Solution
We developed the brand Marsio, derived from "Mars," a planet strongly connected to both space exploration and Elon Musk’s visionary plans. The brand’s visual identity leverages a space theme, featuring a deep-blue background, star-filled skies, and astronauts, creating an atmosphere of dreams and forward-thinking ambition. A bold and easily readable logo highlights modernity and product accessibility, while appetizing visuals of sandwich cookies make the product instantly appealing. Packaging was created in convenient snack formats of 2 and 4 cookies.
Result
The final design resonates across generations, appealing equally to the young and older consumers, from space dreamers to technology enthusiasts. The distinctive naming and innovative design foster a deep emotional bond with the customer, laying a strong foundation for successful market entry.
