There is no substitute for the warmth and authentic taste of fruits ripened in the gardens of Denov under the scorching Surkhandarya sun. In what guise should such a unique blessing, embodying the immense labor of the Uzbek farmer, be presented to the global market?

1. Problem and Challenge

We had signed a contract to create a single, unified design concept for nearly 160 product types (SKUs) under the Uzagrostar brand. However, during the project's implementation, our client came up with an additional proposal: Denov dried fruits are so premium and distinctive that forcing their design into the general concept created for standard fruits and vegetables would simply be unfair.

Therefore, we were tasked with developing a fresh, bold, and exclusive packaging concept for these products, completely distinct from the general product line.

2. Research

While studying the dried fruits market, we witnessed a monotonous and boring landscape. Most competitors use either cheap-looking plain transparent bags or standard cardboard boxes printed with generic fruit images. There was no visual solution on the market that could grab the buyer's attention right on the shelf while showcasing the product's premium quality and natural appeal. We realized that we needed to fill this exact void and shatter the stereotypes surrounding dried fruits.

3. Solution

As a result, we developed a visual solution that literally sells itself on the shelf, instantly captivating the buyer:

  • Transparency and Aesthetics: As you can see in the images, we did not hide the natural beauty of the product. The appetizing look is clearly visible through an elegant transparent container. The thick, glass-like plastic provides a sense of purity and gives the product a unique, premium appearance.
  • Abstract Patterns: We wrapped the center of the container with a deep purple label. Instead of boring and overused fruit pictures, we placed bright, modern, and abstract fruit patterns on it, reflecting the vibrant nature of Denov.
  • The Right Message: Right below the neon-colored geometric composition, we proudly placed the text: “Sun-dried fruits from the Heart of Uzbekistan.” By doing so, we highlighted the true value and origin of this natural gift.

Result

Such a bold color combination creates absolute visual dominance on supermarket shelves. A buyer will definitely not ignore a product with this kind of design.

Our premium approach strongly resonated with the Uzagrostar team; they gladly allocated an additional budget and approved the project. But most importantly, while we were enthusiastically working on this specific dried fruits design, the client entrusted us with several new projects.
